Sketching "Timelapse videos" with Lapse it App review

I know I have been away lately from blogging, as well as sketching! I am literally loaded with work, and it's over my head! But, however, I thought I should share with you some videos I have posted earlier for my sketches, using "Lapse it" App. I am still waiting for the iPhone tripod I have ordered a week ago to arrive, in order to enjoy this experience in a better way!

The good thing about this app is that you can edit your time-lapse video before getting started. Meaning you can play with the settings the way you want and edit the speed of the shots the way you desire in order to get the time lapse video you are looking for. On top of that, this app allows you to add a song that already exists in your phone to the video, so you can make a better video :)

The biggest challenge I have faced with this app involved finding a satisfactory surface to set p my phone on to get the view I wanted. So, I ended up keeping my iPhone on the pen holder somehow "don't even ask how!" :p

Lapse it App saves your time lapse videos for later editing, and you can edit the order of your clips from within the app itself. It also has different filters that you may apply on your videos; among the options are filters that make colours look more vibrant or give your video an "old time" look.

Once your video is finished, you have the option whether to save it to your gallery, edit it, post it on the Lapse it gallery or delete it. The end result is an MP4 file, which you can share online and play on any compatible device.

On the other hand, whenever you want to start making your time lapse video, you may want to make sure that the battery is fully charged, or that your iPhone is being charged. As this app drained the battery very fast!

This app is available for both Apple and Android devices. There is a free and a paid version of this app. Check out the below links.

For more information about this app, check out their website here.
This was the first time lapse I do with this app!

Instagram Direct, a fantastic privacy feature!

I know I have been away for a while now, 10 days since my last post to be precise. But well, I think we are all kind of busy at work specially at the end of the year. I am a little bit late to talk about Instagram's last update "Instagram Direct," but I know I have to do so.

Instagram Direct allows you to share photos or videos with certain friends you chose and not all. I found this feature really great when it comes to protecting your privacy, where it allows you to share a photo or video with only your friends and not the rest of your followers. However, after sharing the post, you will be able to find out who's seen your photo or video, see who's liked it and watch your recipients commenting in real times as the conversation unfolds.

Photos and videos that you receive from people you follow will appear immediately. If someone you are not following sends you a photo or video on Instagram, it will go to your requests so you can decide if you want to view it or not.

What would be even better, is that Instagram brings that option where it allows us to hide a photo or a video from specific followers. Like sharing a photo or a video with all your followers except for one or two followers. Wouldn't be awesome :D

The below video was featured on Instagram Blog, for more details visit this page here.

An open invitation for writing by @UrbanQ8

I am writing this post with a very happy face that has a really big smile :D
Few months ago I have prepared a post, but kept it in drafts for a quiet long time. That post was having a title that says "An open invitation for writing." I really wanted everyone to share with us whatever they had in mind, and get the opportunity to experience the fun of writing. But, unfortunately, I was very busy to think of anything creative that might help me accomplish whatever I was looking for.

Until two days ago, I have got a message from Tareq Al Askar (@UrbanQ8) stating that he has brought to life again! And that he has added a new feature which allows users/readers to participate by submitting/writing articles in his website. [Read about it here

You don't need to be a professional writer or anything, all you have to do is just register in website and submit your articles. It's easy, fun and great!

I found this such a unique and creative thing to do, and I have participated in posting few articles as well. If you like writing and want the opportunity to shine, do not hesitate to start writing and submit your article to the above website. I really think this would be such a great experience.

Thanks to UrbanQ8 team for making my dream come true, somehow :p Can't wait to read the articles submitted by the readers :)
Best of luck!

@Samarish Event "Let's Samarish it together!"

I have received this sweet yet creative invitation from Samar Al Mutawaa for her Samarish Collection, that has been launched just recently. The event was planned by the creative team of Circusbc in ShoeboxNY shop at 360 Mall last week.

The atmosphere of the event was amazing, and well organised. The furniture was all arranged by the creative Ali Al Faisal (@alalifaisal)

And of course the salty catering was handled by the great team of b+f Open Flame Kitchen.

Moreover, the accessories were all based on the old treasury theme that presents Kuwait's golden days. Since the event was all packed up with bloggers, celebrities and people, I really couldn't take perfect shots. So my apologies for the low resolution photos :)

I will leave you with the great collection by Samarish.

It was such a pleasure meeting this lovely lady, Samar Al Mutawaa. Wishing her all the best <3

Finally, we had to end it up having dinner from one of my favourite restaurants ever! Open Flame Kitchen. Yummy!
